Dear Northfield School District Families:
We are grateful for the immense contributions that Bridgewater principal Nancy Antoine and Spring Creek principal Tania Will have made to our Northfield School District community. Both are retiring at the end of the school year. Their leadership has been valued and we wish them well in their retirement. Their legacies will be felt in our community for decades to come.
I am pleased to announce these skilled leaders who will become the next principals at Bridgewater and Spring Creek:
- Ashley Benhart has been selected as the next principal at Bridgewater Elementary School. Ashley is currently the principal at Lincoln Elementary School in Faribault and spent six years as a °ä´Ç³¾±è²¹Ã±±ð°ù´Ç²õ teacher at Spring Creek.
- Richard Torres, Jr. has been selected as the next principal at Spring Creek Elementary. Rich currently serves as the assistant administrator at Pinewood Elementary School in the Rosemount-Apple Valley- Eagan school district.
Ashley and Richard were selected after an extensive process that included a deep pool of 64 candidates and 40 stakeholders across two rounds of interviews. They will begin their new roles on July 1, 2026.
